Originally opened in 1935, the Hayden Planetarium has undergone several transformations, with the most recent renovation in 2000 leading to the creation of the Rose Center. This modern iteration is a state-of-the-art facility, featuring the impressive 87-foot diameter Hayden Sphere, which houses the Space Theater.
